Under his leadership, more than 3,100 units of rental & conventional housing and one commercial medical office facility have been developed, constructed and managed by TEG. Prior to forming TEG, he was active in commercial real estate and finance. Mr. Surak holds a degree in Economics from Millikin University.

Julia Surak | President
Ms. Surak leads the strategic direction and assists in the oversight of the administration of property management, development, accounting, and compliance. Prior to joining the team in 2015, Ms. Surak was a Real Estate Asset Manager for 12 years in San Diego, California. Ms. Surak earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from Mount Saint Joseph University.

Julie Tucker | Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Tucker has been working within the affordable housing community since 1995 with experience including accounting for LIHTC acquisition/rehabilitation properties, financial analysis of existing portfolios, and interaction with investors throughout the life of each project. Her certifications include the National Compliance Professional (LIHTC), Assisted Housing Manager (HUD), and S.T.A.R. (USDA) designation. Ms. Tucker served as a voting board member and Treasurer of the Affordable Housing Association of Indiana for 10 years. She devotes the majority of time monitoring projects for compliance with state housing authorities and other programs and financial monitoring of property operations. Prior to joining VMC in 2001, she served as a financial executive in various capacities. Ms. Tucker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Indianapolis.

Melanie Watson | Director of Property Management of Village Management Company
Ms. Watson leads the field teams of Regional and Site Managers throughout our three-state portfolio of 58 multifamily properties. Ms. Watson oversees the day-to-day management and operations for all sites ensuring well-maintained affordable housing for our residents. Prior to joining the team, she was a Commercial Property Manager, overseeing a retail portfolio. She attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
